On January 10, the 10th Chinese Enterprise Global Image Summit was held in Beijing in a combination of online and offline ways, and the evaluation results of 2022 (5th) Chinese Enterprise International Image Building Case Collection were announced to reveal the award winners among the 172 cases. Bluestar’s case, “Creating a Home for Chinese and Western Culture Fusion in Bluestar”, stood out from its peers and won an excellent award in the “Cross-cultural Fusion” category.

Jointly organized by the SASAC News Center, the China Center for International Communication Development, the International Department of the People’s Daily, and the Center for International Cultural Communication, China International Communications Group, the Chinese Enterprise International Image Building Case Collection has been carried out for five consecutive years. The campaign seeks to showcase the good image of Chinese enterprises actively promoting global sustainable development in the new era and to summarize and analyze the successful experiences of Chinese enterprises in international image building and sustainable business management. The compilation and publication of the Casebook on International Image Building of Chinese Enterprises further enrich the pool of stories of Chinese enterprises going global, demonstrate the responsibility and commitment of Chinese enterprises in practicing the concept of the community of human destiny, and provide a useful reference for international image building and high-quality, globalized development of enterprises, contributing China’s power to promote global development.

As a global chemical company that has achieved rapid growth through continuous innovation and overseas M&A, Bluestar has explored an overseas image-building path that suits its development in the face of cross-cultural conflicts and challenges. It advocates the management concept of “harmony in diversity”, adheres to the cultural concept of “tolerant and inclusive”, and values the imperceptible cultural influence. Previously, at the Fourth “Belt and Road” Initiative Short Video Competition hosted by the SASAC News Center, two short videos introducing the work and life of Bluestar’s foreign employees in China won the Civilization Fusion Award and the Outstanding Work Award, respectively. This award is evidence of the excellent practice and positive image of Bluestar in solving the “post-M&A problems”.
