Recently, the 2022 China Fluorosilicon Industry Standard Innovation and Contribution Award officially announced the list of winners. The industry standard Polymethyl hydrosiloxane developed by Elkem Xinghuo Silicones won the first prize in the Fluorosilicon Industry Standard Innovation Contribution Award again. This is the third consecutive year that Elkem Xinghuo Silicones won this award. Moreover, the association standard Epoxy-terminated Polymethyl Siloxane led and developed by Elkem Xinghuo Silicones, won the excellence award. Each of the two standards is the first of its kind in the industry. In terms of technical innovation, the standard Polymethyl hydrosiloxane is the first to propose the use of the highly sensitive infrared method for testing the hydrogen content and the potentiometric titration method for testing the acid value. Its sensitivity and detection efficiency are far higher than those of conventional testing methods. Since its release and implementation, the standard has been widely used by domestic manufacturers and customers.
