According to the Notice on Jiangxi Provincial Action Plan for Poverty Alleviation through Consumption of Products from Impoverished Rural Areas and the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping on winning the fight against poverty, Elkem Xinghuo Silicones has played the role of primary-level labor unions of central enterprises in poverty eradication, given full play to the advantages of labor union, and leveraged the welfare policy support from its labor union to assist Jiuhe Township, Makou Town, Baicha Town, and Yijiahe Village in Yongxiu County in poverty alleviation by selling agricultural and sideline products through live commerce.

Also, Elkem Xinghuo Silicones helped Zhu Village, Aicheng Town, Yongxiu County, shake off poverty successfully. Through a number of poverty alleviation measures involving talent, labor, industry and infrastructure, the company has promoted income growth of the needy, with 1,846 people from 352 registered households in the entire village lifted out of poverty in January 2020.
